Ashley Uyeda
Ms. Uyeda received her Bachelor’s Degree in American Studies from UC Santa Cruz in 2006. As an undergraduate, her passion and commitment to youth and education was cultivated through her involvement with student organizing and Engaging Education, the student-initiated outreach and retention center. Upon graduation, Ashley moved to Los Angeles to work in the field of youth organizing as a Program Coordinator with Southern Californians for Youth, supporting youth leadership development and capacity building. In 2007, Ashley joined UCLA SMP as a Program Coordinator to assist in the planning and coordination of all SMP professional development trainings and events. She looks forward to the many opportunities she will have with SMP to continue to enrich the lives of young people and contribute to the field of education.
