Mr. Matsuda is the UCLA SMP Technology Coordinator. He administers the UCLA SMP office LAN and provides network, telecommunications, Internet and general computer support to UCLA SMP staff and faculty. Mr. Matsuda also helps develop and teach technology classes for UCLA SMP staff and faculty. Gann came to UCLA SMP in March, 1997 from the Los Angeles Educational Partnership (LAEP) where he worked as the FamilyCare Coordinator (1993-96) and as the Macintosh Specialist for the Los Angeles Learning Community Network (LALCNet) Internet service (1995-97). Mr. Matsuda completed his undergraduate work at UCLA, studying History, Political Science and Computer Science. In his spare time, Gann served on the Advisory Commission for the Manzanar National Historic Site from 1994-2004, and is a member of the Manzanar Committee. He is a freelance writer covering the Los Angeles Kings hockey club for Hockeytalk and for the Online Kingdom. He is also the publisher of Frozen Royalty, a blog covering the Kings.
