Howard Welinsky
Mr. Welinsky is currently the Senior Vice President of Administration at Warner Bros. Pictures Distribution. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from UCLA and completed post-graduate studies at UCLA and USC. His involvement in education includes his role as Commissioner with the California Postsecondary Education Commission, as well as serving on the UCLA Foundation External Relations Committee, the Alumni Association Governmental Relations Steering Committee, and the Chancellor’s Associates.

Mr. Welinsky has been recognized many times for his outstanding contributions: he was the recipient of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee’s Lawrence J. Weinberg Distinguished Service Award in 1995; the Jewish Labor Committee’s Abe Levy Chaver Award in 1998; the Los Angeles NAACP Leadership Award in 2000; and the Earl Raab JPAC Award for Outstanding Legislative Advocacy on Behalf of the Jewish Community in 2000.

Mr. Welinsky has also been actively involved in and serves with numerous organizations that focus on public affairs and social justice on the national, state, and local levels. He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee; functions as Chair of the Finance Council and Co-Chair of the Platform Committee for the California Democratic State Central Committee; and is the Chair of Democrats for Israel. In addition, he sits on the boards of First Entertainment Credit Union, the Progressive Jewish Alliance, and the Trustee IATSE Pension Fund; and chairs the Los Angeles Jewish Community Relations Committee’s Israel Commission.
