Jeffrey Alan Seymour
Mr. Seymour is the President of the Seymour Consulting Group (SCG), a firm which provides governmental relations services to clients throughout Southern California with emphasis on land use consulting, including preparation of applications and maps required for approval of discretionary permits, advocacy services before elected and appointed decisionmakers, representation at public hearings, and expedition of building permits. In addition to its land use services, the firm provides advocacy support in areas including community outreach and ordinance studies.

Prior to forming the SCG, Mr. Seymour served for eight years as a partner in Morey/Seymour & Associates, a governmental relations consulting firm handling a diverse portfolio of clients.

Mr. Seymour was principal of Jeffrey Seymour & Associates, a governmental relations consulting firm specializing in advocacy on the state and local levels as well as planning and zoning expedition. Prior to that, Seymour was a vice president at the Bank of Los Angeles where he coordinated the business development program for the bank and served as a member of the Bank Officer’s Loan Committee.

As the Los Angeles County Supervisor’s Senior Deputy in the Third Supervisorial District, Mr. Seymour was the deputy in charge of field operations throughout West Hollywood, West Los Angeles and the City of Beverly Hills. He supervised the district offices in West Hollywood/West Los Angeles and acted as Supervisor Edmund D. Edelman’s representative in matters pertaining to those areas.

Mr. Seymour has an extensive background in the acquisition and use of state and federal grants-in-aid.

Mr. Seymour began his career in government as councilmanic aide in the City of Los Angeles. His primary responsibility was to solve various constituent problems in the 5th Council District.

Mr. Seymour was awarded a Master of Public Administration degree from UCLA. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from UCLA and an Associate of Arts in Social Science degree from Santa Monica College.

Mr. Seymour has a long history of distinguished involvement in numerous civic, religious, university, and political organizations. He served his community in numerous advisory positions, including as Regent-Designate to the University of California Board of Regents. He is also secretary of the Alumni Associations of the University of California. Mr. Seymour’s involvement with UCLA includes membership in the Board of Directors of the UCLA Foundation, the Campaign Cabinet for Campaign UCLA, and the Westside Chancellors Associates. In addition to his current university activities, Mr. Seymour is Vice-Chair of the Jewish Community Relations Committee at the Jewish Federation Council of Greater Los Angeles. He also serves as chair of the Committee’s College Connections.

Mr. Seymour is a member of the American Society for Public Administration, the UCLA Alumni Association, the UCLA Chancellor’s Associates, and UCLA’s Order of the Blue Shield. He is listed in Marquis Who’s Who in America.
