School Assistance Intervention Team (SAIT) Program

SMP is an approved provider for the School Assistance Intervention Team (SAIT) Program, a state-funded program. The purpose of a SAIT is to investigate and identify critical areas at state-monitored school sites where efforts need to be made to improve student achievement. The SAIT makes a Report of Findings and Corrective Actions, which becomes guidelines for a school’s efforts to bring about the necessary changes. Funding is provided by the state for up to three years to implement these corrective actions.

As a SAIT provider, SMP has worked with Sacramento High School, Antelope Valley and Littlerock High Schools (Antelope Valley UHSD) and Lockwood Elementary (Oakland USD). In addition to making the report for Littlerock High School, SMP continued as the school’s SAIT provider in the second phase of the state-imposed program.
