The Test “Thinking” Strategies Workshop is a two-and-a-half hour session designed to help teachers better understand how students think about test questions and their answer choices. With this enhanced understanding, teachers can coach students to a better performance.
Through an action research model, one Southern California school developed this method to reveal how students approach test questions. The results of their action research led to the development of a test "thinking" strategy that has proven successful in improving student performance..
This method, and other test "thinking" strategies, will be presented and practiced during the workshop. These easy-to-use strategies can be applied across grade levels 2 to 12 and across all content areas.
